RE/MAX expands south east Queensland presence

Leading real estate network, RE/MAX Australia, announced its further expansion with the opening this month of RE/MAX Property Professionals in Springfield, west of Brisbane.

Joining the global real estate network is Melina MacNellie-Verrall.

Mrs MacNellie-Verrall spent the past nine years working in the finance sector for a major bank in Brisbane.

The Spring Mountain resident, who grew up in Greenbank, returns to the real estate passion she’s had since leaving high school and working in independent and big brand real estate offices through the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast,  including RE/MAX at Burleigh Heads.

Mrs MacNellie-Verrall chose to open her office in Greater Springfield because of the market opportunity she sees.

“I know this area very well as both a professional and a resident. It is undoubtedly a growth area and I’m opening RE/MAX Property Professionals to become the market’s number one agency of choice through Greater Springfield and surrounding suburbs,” she said.

Her plans include having a close relationship with the business community and residents.

Global strength attracted Mrs MacNellie-Verrall to align her business with the RE/MAX brand, along with high value RE/MAX Australia’s leadership places on corporate responsibility, which impacts positively on both company and community.

“As a long-standing member of the Greater Springfield community, I want my business to be an integral part of this community and we will be engaging and connecting with it in many ways.”

The team’s first initiative supports Westside Community Charity.

“We sponsor a Monday morning Pilates class held in the Westfield Community Hall with instructor Rhonda Bailey, where the $5 entry is donated to the charity,” said Mrs MacNellie-Verrall, who has joined the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and is actively networking with small businesses.

“My benchmarks for success are headed by building relationships with clients and the experiences I give them while achieving the outcomes they want, and the level of engagement and involvement this community feels from the RE/MAX Property Professionals team.”

RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Joel Davoren said, “Consumer confidence in the property market has remained strong in South East Queensland, with every evidence of some markets in the region strengthening.

“The Greater Springfield office is poised to assist buyers and sellers.”

Mrs MacNellie-Verrall has 11 years of experience in real estate including as a ‘hands on’ owner of investment properties.

“As an investor myself, I understand the importance of maximising an investment’s potential,” she said.

“Melina has ambitious goals with the people skills, market know-how and business acumen to achieve them”, said Mr Davoren. “Her energy and drive is evidenced in the fact that just over three months ago she was welcoming her new baby boy into the world. Three months and two weeks on, she’s opening her real estate office.”
